Providence is calling a Director Data Management PSJH to our location in Redmond, WA .
This is a key Data Management leadership role for the Administrative Technologies vertical at PSJH. As such, it will have data management scope for Management Reporting across business domains that fall within Administrative Technologies, like: Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and other non-clinical shared services. The scope is both broad and connected, in terms of connecting multiple businesses together to create a seamless and simplified caregiver experience. This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor. This role will work in a fast paced environment, have constant demands for better services, and will require strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting edge mindset and skillset to the organization. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity and drive clear strategy and implantation plans, while bringing the business, fellow IS organizations and the team to success.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Build a cutting-edge data management team and function in both mindset, skillset and technical depth that differentiates PSJH from the industry.
Lead and manage this team in such a way to enable a high team performance and high data quality and user experience in our technical solutions.
Build over time, by partnering with teams across PSJH, the proper data management practices and relationships that enable the business teams to focus on driving their business and IS to run IS services.
Work as a key member of a tightknit leadership team that includes End to End Experience, Technical Program Management, Software Engineering and Service Engineering, to create a high performing team that will drive necessary change and leadership, in a consistent way, throughout the organization.
Lead by example by leveraging experience in enterprise level data management theory and practice, solution analysis, user experience, project management, process modeling, persona development and connected experience to drive data quality, behavior, process and priority decisions across the team and IS.
Proven experience in Data Management team development, having the ability to work hands on and to teach and grow others in the knowledge and skills.
Own key operational and business relationships through cooperative partnership by participating in strategy development through to operational solution implementation, partner in prioritization of work and be the connective force for solutions that cross into other IS and non-IS delivery teams.
Effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive communication and interaction, problem identification and resolution.
Perform work independently with minimal supervision, to lead and grow business and user focused team, growing and hiring the next set of leaders, both managerially and technically.
Prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that timeframes are met and the work is successfully completely within deadlines.
Develop and deliver effective presentations: live, via online or virtual mediums – to be a visible and servant leader within the organization and across IS.
Focus on the greater need and mission of the organization, making personal goals and ambitions secondary to the success of the overall division and organization.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in one of the following or related disciplines:
Management Information Systems
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree, Professional or equivalent experience.
10 years Data Management, user experience, solution analysis, solution delivery, product management, software engineering, technical program management - all at enterprise scale and complexity.
Demonstrated skills leading large scale efforts in the release and management of solutions, related roadmaps & functional specifications, UAT, Customer support, launching new products, conducting customer research, and facilitating user testing.
Excellent organizational, presentation, and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions at all levels of an organization and to represent Providence externally as needed.
7 years experience with SQL, Cloud, Visual Studio, ADO or other development coordination tools.
