Providence is calling a Principal Engineering Program Manager to one of our locations in the Seattle area, Portland, OR, or Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Principal Engineering Program Manager to join the PMO (Project Management Office) within Enterprise Information Security (EIS) who will have scope and responsibility in leading services such as Privileged Access Management, Data Protection, Authentication Services and Public Key Infrastructure within the Identity and Access Management Team. This role will partner closely with their service delivery teams and Engineering Manager to define, manage, and maintain the health of the service while defining and designing solutions that delight caregivers and add value to Providence. The scope for this role is both broad, across business units and deep in terms of technical, process, and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services. This role is enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor. The responsibilities of the Principal Engineering Program Manager includes collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders to define epics, features, and user stories, develop service line roadmaps, and improve the overall health of the service to achieve desired business outcomes. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication, and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting-edge program management and continuous improvement mindset and skillset to the organization. It requires a leader to deal with a high degree of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery while collaborating with others.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support the organization in implementing agile/scrum practices
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and optimize solutions to meet business strategies and objectives
Leads / supports service delivery teams and/or projects, defining epics, features and user stories, ensuring features deliver expected business value and objectives
Participates in design, code, and test planning and reviews across the feature area, understands the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them. Identifies multi solution/service dependency issues and scheduling priorities, and establishes milestone exit criteria
Anticipates risks and issues and take preventative actions
Facilitates and coordinates cross program and project dependencies
Collaborates with others to build end-to-end quality with the user experience in mind
Proactively and independently manages client expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the project/program lifecycle. Develops and gains sponsor approval for project delivery dates.
Acts as a coach and mentor to other Program Managers and Project Managers
Consistently contributes key ides that support and enable the vision within Enterprise Cybersecurity
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
8 years related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience in Cybersecurity
Experience in a Healthcare environment.
Agile or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications
Strong Executive communication and presentation skills
Experience/understanding of Azure Cloud Services
Experience/understanding of IT datacenter hosting, infrastructure and operations (i.e. compute, virtualization, storage, backup, patching, security)
Advanced Excel & Bl experience (i.e. VLOOKUP, PowerBI, SQL)
2-5 years Agile/Scrum experience or certifications
1-2 years Azure Dev Ops experience
