Providence Senior Service Engineer PSJH in Redmond, Washington

Providence is calling a Senior Service Engineer PSJH to our location in Redmond, WA or Lubbock, TX .

We are seeking a Senior Service Engineer PSJH who will be key Service Engineering role for the Administrative Technologies vertical at PSJH. As such, the Senior Service Engineer will have scope across a business domain that falls within Administrative Technologies, like: Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, or other non-clinical shared services. The scope is both broad working across a whole business unit and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to run and maintain an enterprise wide IS service. This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this IS division from the ground floor. This role will work in a fast pace environment, will have constant demands for better services, and will require strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting edge service management mindset and skills set to the organization. It requires an engineer that can deal with high degrees of ambiguity and drive clear service improvement plans, while collaborating with the business, and peer IS teams of Program Managers, Software Engineers and Service Engineers.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ability to read, write, configure code, and design for end-to-end service telemetry, alerting and self-healing capabilities

  • Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.

  • Experience with n-tier solutions

  • Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) on point solutions and platforms and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)

  • Experience influencing software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably Master's, degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Computer Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Mathematics

  • Engineering

  • 5 years IT technical experience.
