Providence Health & Services Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - ElderPlace West (Part-Time/Days) in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Pace West, Day Shift, 0.80 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
or assist participants with personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting,
oral and denture care, hair and skin, shaving, nail trimming). Take weight, vital signs and collect
specimens as assigned.
with Adult Day program activities as assigned and provide cross coverage for
all PCA Center positions, across all ElderPlace site locations.
as a back-up Clinic Assistant as needed.
with dining area set-up and distribution of meals and snacks as assigned. Assist with feeding and/or monitoring during
meals. Assist with morning beverage service.
on vans both morning and afternoon as needed. This includes assisting
participants on/off the vans, escorting to/from residence and PEP, and
wheelchair securement. The PCA is responsible for monitoring participants when
the van is in motion and notifying the driver if there is a problem. If contact
with the center is needed while the van is in motion, the PCA should make this
participants to move; turn; get in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair; and
ambulate with or without assistive devices.

all pertinent observations of participants to appropriate medical staff or
maintain order and cleanliness of the center and its equipment and linens,
including disinfecting furniture and other common use items.
knowledge and appropriate behavior concerning infection control by proper
handling of equipment, soiled clothing, bedpans, urinals, and adequate hand
washing and use of gloves.
lifting equipment as directed by care plan and the Rehabilitation
department. Works in a safe manner,
following safety guidelines and standards.
Attends safety in-services.
Offers guidance or assistance to staff working in an unsafe manner.
- Interacts with the public and other
employees in a positive manner.
- All employees of PEPS are required to
deliver services and perform activities in compliance with PACE regulatory
responsibilities, and comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local
laws, regulations, and requirements as well as facility specific policies and
procedures. In addition, all employees who have contact with participants are
expected to promote the Participant Bill of Rights and Responsibilities and
understand the basic procedures for receiving and documenting grievances in
order to initiate the appropriate process for participant concerns. Each
employee is responsible for understanding their role in the emergency preparedness,
infection control and quality improvement plans.
- Maintains confidentiality of all
patient demographics, medical and financial information at all times. Maintain
confidentiality of all company and client information. Ensure proper handling
and disposal of confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and
in a manner consistent with the mission and core values of Providence Health
Required qualifications for this position include:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure
Washington State driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Prior patient care experienc ein adult day health, home health, hospice, sub-acute or long term care
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One year experience working with older adults.
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Current Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
