Providence Health & Services Digital Strategy Intern in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Digital Strategy Intern to Seattle, WA to assist with sourcing new, early stage investments. This may include attending meetings with founders and entrepreneurs, attending relevant conferences and networking events, and calling on new prospects. This position will provide assistance to professional staff in all facets of analysis and assessment of potential venture capital investments.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assist as directed with the development of financial models relating to financings, restructurings, valuation analyses and liquidity events.
Assist as directed with performing due diligence such as customer and management references, market sizing and mapping, and industry research, competitive analysis and ultimately forming a viewpoint on the investment opportunity.
Assist as directed with crafting investment memoranda and presentation materials for the partnership, to include developing and refining presentation themes, data gathering and synthesis, and constructing professional presentation materials.
Work with portfolio companies to enhance operations and performance, report on portfolio company’s performance and supporting them on ad hoc projects.
Assist with creating processes and infrastructures to help our venture process scale.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Study toward, or completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical major that may be complemented by an MBA or PhD from a well-regarded institution.
The role may include travel and participation in industry events where he/she represents PHS, along with professional colleagues, in building our network of collaborators and partners.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Helpful if candidate has entrepreneurial experience in launching a tech start up; or some experience gained from functional and industry experience in strategy consulting, healthcare investment banking, venture capital, corporate innovation, technology incubators, or health care startups.
