Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director of Finance Express Care PSJH to our location in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a Director of Finance Express Care PSJH to be responsible for overseeing the finance support functions that sustain the various ministries and organizations within Express Care. These include oversight of productivity and bench marking, costing, analytics, support for monthly close process, pro forma developments of business opportunities, long range planning for the region, capital planning for the region, forecasting summarization for the region, operational budgeting summarization for Express Care as well as other reporting as requested by either regional or system leadership. The Director will oversee staffing assigned to such functions and will coordinate these activities with the finance leads and personnel embedded in service areas or ministries throughout the region. This role will be the primary contact with system financial planning and analytics staff for regional requests. The Express Care team is a division under the Ambulatory Care Network that provides convenient care options for patients in the PSJH footprint of care. Retail clinics, virtual and at home services are part of the Express Care umbrella of services. It is an offering that is expecting rapid growth in the next 24 months. They will grow from 41 sites to 100 across 6 states. The division functions with a startup approach within the eco system of a $25B company. The team is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance to help create the strategic framework for the organization’s growth.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide leadership to ensure various budgeting, reporting, and analytics needed for the region are done timely and efficiently to assure financial viability and support of operations.
Will recommend financial policies and procedures as appropriate.
Direct, monitor, coach and evaluate staff for provision of budgeting. long range planning, forecasting, costing, pro forma development, and analytics.
Prepare financial analyses and other business planned with help of staff.
Oversee the implementation and use of various reporting systems and the ERP.
Provide data to key people identified above in support of regional operations.
Provide information to various local, state and professional organizations as required and requested.
Demonstrate knowledge of process improvement processes and procedures.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff, management, physicians, and the public including making formal presentations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
5 years of related finance experience (financial analysis, budgeting, business analysis & decision support preferably in a healthcare setting).
4 years management experience of business development or analytics (preferably in a healthcare setting).
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Knowledge of financial principles and practices and the ability to apply them effectively.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Public Accountant or HFMA and/or FACHE certifications.
