Providence Health & Services Dispatcher - ElderPlace / Seattle in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Scheduler Dispatcher (Central Transportation, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
- Responsible for dispatching drivers to transport participants to and from all medical appointments and adult day health visits, Manages all transportation requests and coordinates efficient routing to maximize transportation resources. · Creates scheduled routes for transportation and makes adjustments to meet unanticipated changes . Works with the Transportation manager to determine safest route. · Utilizes transportation software and medical records software to track and schedule medical appointments for participants. · Operates office systems and equipment such as personal computers , multi - line telephone, copiers, fax, records systems, and other related equipment . Coordinates work with internal and external contacts as required.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Equivalent of an Associate's Degree in English, communications, business, or related subject
Valid Washington State driver license and access to an insured, reliable vehicle
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
2 years of experience in dispatching transportation and/or scheduling medical appointments
