Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a n Executive Director,Regional Nursing Clinical Informatics PSJH to ourlocation in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking an Executive Director, Regional
Nursing Clinical Informatics PSJH to be a member of the Providence St. Joseph
Health Clinical Informatics Nursing senior leadership team, the Executive
Director, Regional Nursing Clinical Informatics is responsible, with their
Medical Informatics partner, for collaborative development, implementation,
support, and on-going optimization of clinical informatics, Caring Reliably
framework, IS strategy and other organization commitments. As a partner for clinical transformation and
in collaboration with the Regional Chief Nursing Officer, ministry Nurse
Executives and other clinical and physician
leaders, the Executive Director, Regional Clinical Nursing Informatics
leads informatics initiatives with an emphasis on information technology and
services to support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in the areas of
practice, clinical applications, clinical/administrative decision-making,
research and quality improvement initiatives, education, and resource
management. He/she combines expert
knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to
effectively represent the information and knowledge needs and requirements of
healthcare professionals and patients and to promote safe, effective, and
efficient use of information technology in clinical settings. Scope may include
acute care, ambulatory care, and post-acute care settings.
In this position you will have thefollowing responsibilities:
Participatein development of Providence St. Joseph Health clinical systems strategy incollaboration with other senior nursing/clinical and medical informatics andoperational leaders.
Collaboratewith GVPs and VPs within Clinical Informatics, Providence St. Joseph HealthNursing Executives and other informatics leaders in developing a PSJH visionfor nursing informatics and facilitates that vision at the regional level.
Act as a changeagent working with nursing and clinical leadership teams in the identification,development, planning, implementation, and value measurement of overallinformatics strategies to support quality patient care and professionalpractice.
Attract,hire, train, motivate, retain, and develop a team of first-rate professionalsto perform the responsibilities of nursing/clinical informaticists.
Maintain confidentialityof all information related to patients, medical staff, employees, and asappropriate, other information as required by Federal, State, and Companycompliance policies.
Developand collaborate, using data, on individual and team objectives andcapacities in the creation, definition,and advancement/support of new and existingstandard operating procedures (SOP) and service level agreements (SLA)consistent with PSJH management, IS, andCI priorities with the goal of providing and maintaining excellent, realisticcustomer service
Required qualifications for thisposition include:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
12 years of nursing experience in ahealthcare organization with strong experience in informatics and leadership.
10 years of experience in clinicalor IT functional management in comparable organizations, including financialand supervisory accountability.
RN licensure upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for thisposition include:
Master’s degree in Nursing orClinical Informatics, BA, Health Care Administration, Public Administration orrelated healthcare field.
3 years of experience in all areasof program and project management including multiple project integration andprocess/workflow redesign.
3 years of demonstrated ability tocreate and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues,specifically for the adoption of clinical technology.
Certification in Informatics and maybe equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiringmanger’s discretion.
