Providence Health & Services Food Bank Coordinator in Seattle, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Food Bank Coordinator to Providence Regina House in Seattle,WA.
This is a part time 0.75 FTE (30 hours per week) position.
We are seeking a Food Bank Coordinator to work with volunteers and food donors including, but not limited to, distribution centers, schools, churches, and other food banks. Maintains a positive relationship with members of local community.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for picking up food and other donations for Food and Clothing Bank.
Maintains food and clothing storage areas. Keeps closet, cooler, freezer, and basement storage area clean and organized.
Responsible for maintaining and cleaning vehicle.
Works with volunteers to sort food and clothing by category.
Maintains food and supply inventory. Organizes food into a first-in, first-out system.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience working with a diverse population including refugees, elderly and homeless.
Must have valid WA State driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds repeatedly.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work Tuesday –Saturday.
Ability to drive a 6-wheel, 18,000 GWV box truck.
WA Food Worker Card within one month of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with food handling and safety guidelines.
Bilingual (Spanish speaking).
