Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a eLearning Developer to our location in Portland, OR. (Position can also sit in WA or CA.)

Bring your experience with adult learning to help us generate user friendly and engaging offerings on a new learning platform which increase accessibility for our over 120,000 caregivers.

We are seeking an eLearning Developer to develop level 0-1 eLearning courses and to support of the Learning Management System for Providence Saint Joseph Health. The role will Support tier 2 help desk questions in regards to learning technology, troubleshoot system issues and provide resolution. In this role, the Developer is responsible for staying current and proactive in seeking information on industry analysis, trends and research.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • In partnership with SME and Instructional Designers this role will develop Level 0-1 eLearning courses utilizing multi-media tools and platforms to develop online learning. In addition to developing online learning, program tests and program evaluations. Responsible for the upload of 3rd party vendor SCORM content into LMS ensuring all system standards are adhered to and the course functions in all systems.

  • The Developer will and deploy new and revised eLearning courses to the Learning Management System (LMS). The Developer must provide technical support for eLearning course moves and manage vendor and video uploads. Support and manage processes for publishing eLearning content, set up courses, and trouble shoot technical issues as needed. Manage the course catalog and develop an active course catalog matrix by ministry/region/system.

  • In collaboration with stakeholders coordinate required/mandatory education reporting to help ensure compliance, completion. Ensure education records are accessible by managers as systems allow, and as needed. In this role the developer will compile and distribute required education reports to managers, including projected education requirements and delinquency reports. Develop annual education assignment racetracks and proactively partner with stakeholders to review and determine continuing assignment needs.

  • Responds and troubleshoots tier 2 help desk incidents related to the LMS programs by researching cause of incident and resolving. The Developer will facilitate and follow through with the resolution or refer to the appropriate resource.

  • Provide high quality customer service to all recipients of educational information, programs, and services. The Developer must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

  • Responsible for the overall operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System. Including but not limited to ensuring all classroom activities are graded in a timely manner, learning assignments are monitored and ended accordingly, eLearning courses are reviewed annually and that the course catalog is up to date with only active courses.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED in Liberal Arts.

  • At least 2 years in learning management software (HealthStream preferred), database management products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in developing eLearning programs using the latest learning programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated organization, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively serve the customers.

  • Must have working knowledge of software applications such as Excel, Access, HealthStream, and Publisher Microsoft Office, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications.

  • Demonstrates personal and interpersonal qualities that support the Core Values of Providence Saint Joseph Health.

  • Provide high quality customer service to all recipients of educational information, programs, and services.

  • Model organizational values and standards while conducting, administering and coordinating educational services.

  • Participate with regions and the system on-line learning collaborative/work group, traveling to participate in person as needed.

  • Work with the IT help desk and other IT support services to ensure technology needs are being addressed effectively.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Health Science, or related field or equivalent education/experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a multi-site healthcare environment.
