Providence Health & Services Maintenance Technician, Part-Time in Seattle, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Maintenance Technician to our location in Seattle, WA (Capitol Hill with parking).
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a multi-family residential building who will be responsible for the repair and replacement activity essential to the ongoing viability of the physical plant including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and mechanical replacement and repair, apartment turnover and implementation of a preventative maintenance schedule.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 20 hours / week
In this position you will:
Uphold the Mission and Core Values of Providence Health & Services and support the goals and principles of supportive housing.
Responds to resident work orders, staff requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure that all repair, replacement, maintenance and janitorial work meets or exceeds industry-specific standards (including but not limited to: repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc. and light plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fitting).
Manage apartment turnover activities including but not limited to patching, painting, facilitating carpet and flooring replacement, supervising cleaning, etc.
Refine and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for any equipment or fixtures that require it.
Coordinate and interface with repair, testing, and replacement contractors as necessary.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum two years providing maintenance technician services in multi-family settings.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent and some formal training in skilled trades.
