Providence Health & Services Manager - In-Home Care Services in Seattle, Washington


Providence is calling a Manager Home Care Services (Home Care Services, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

This position will include a Monday-Friday schedule from 8am-5pm. On-Call will also be required as needed.

In this position you will:

  • Grow our home care department to provide home care services to our participants using employed home care staff rather than agency staff.

  • Oversee the coordination and delivery of home care services including staff assignments, staff development and home care regulatory compliance.

  • Provide consultation and supervision to the individual and licensed home care agency providers of home care services, including instructions related to specific care issues, safety in the home, and collateral contacts with other staff for needed information.

  • Recruit and coordinate for necessary contracts.

  • Coordinate orientation, assignment, scheduling and supervision of all needed home care services to be paid for by Providence ElderPlace-Seattle.

  • Create, maintain and monitor agreements with family members involved in care.

  • Provide home visits to meet and monitor participant's home care providers as needed or at least once every six months.

  • Monitor in-home services compliance with regulatory agencies and identify necessary corrective action plans

  • Participate in continuing education training and is responsible for remaining in compliance with the educational requirements and standards established by regulatory agencies.


Required qualifications for this position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

  • Current drivers license

  • Current automobile insurance along with a reliable vehicle

  • 3 years of supervisory experience including providing social/health services

  • 3 years experience working in a geriatric care setting such as nursing home, assisted living, home health or home care agency

  • Observation, evaluation, and frail elderly assessment skills

Preferred qualifications for this position:

  • Master's Degree

  • Prior experience with a PACE program

  • Knowledge of community and home care services
