Providence Health & Services QA Manual Tester - Lumedic in Seattle, Washington

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a QA Manual Tester - Lumedic to our location in Seattle, WA.

We are seeking a QA Manual Tester - Lumedic to be responsible for defining an overall test approach and ensuing test activities for one of our products. The tester is expected to identify (white box testing) and document (in a clear and granular way) test cases to ensure quality in our engineering practices, and validate our product by executing these test cases across representative devices and web browsers. The individual in this role is expected to log defects in a clear and concise manner including detailed reproducible test steps and communicate across the stack in order to bring defects to resolution. Qualified candidates should have experience with web testing, API testing as well as device and browser validation. Other skills such as troubleshooting, debugging, load/performance testing, automation in Java Selenium and tool development are a plus. This resource will need to be able to clearly communice status, identify areas of improvement in our overall testing methodology and enjoy ad-hoc testing.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manually execute test cases across multiple devices, file clear and concise defects with reproducible steps, collaborate with QA team and SDE teams to support defect resolution, perform ad-hoc testing, identify areas of improvement in product testing, reports a daily status of tests performed.

  • Willing to execute strategies and provide feedback for customer experience.

  • Reviewing and executing test plans, filing defects, and coordinating triage.

  • Debug defects and resting fixes, providing summary of test runs and test data.

  • Conducts automation testing harness, dynamic test scripts, and blackbox/manual testing, as well as analysis, and programming / evaluation / white box testing.

  • Field questions, take requests, and investigate problems related to our software products.Troubleshoot, narrow, and determine root cause of problems.

  • Perform exploratory testing to find software defects.Collaborate with development in the design of products to ensure instrumentation is in place allowing for automation and to analyze the testability of the software.Participate in code coverage/test coverage analysis.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 years relevant experience with working knowledge of automated testing tools.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 1 year familiarity with qTest or similar Test Management Platform, as well as Jenkins, TeamCity or similar CI/CD platform, and experience scripting languages.

  • 1 year healthcare industry experience.
