Providence Health & Services Regional Director of Urgent Care Operations - WA/MT in Seattle, Washington

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Regional Director of Urgent Care Operations for Washington & Montana.

THE ROLE

The Regional Director of Operations for Urgent Care leads both the growth and operations of all clinic operations for the Washington and Montana service areas. Currently at 9 clinics and approximately 200 staff, the position will lead our growth to more than 15 clinics and more than 400staff within the next 36 months; including clinic administrators/managers, and clinic supervisors. This position will also serve as the key liaison to all internal partner organizations and locally present system support teams.

The Regional Director will also have full accountability for the performance of our business defined across the realms of experience, quality and operational excellence as well as financial outcomes. This person also guides retail operations across the urgent care suite of services and works with both the Urgent Care and local partner organization leadership teams to establish and successfully operationalize shared priorities.

The Regional Director, has accountability to hire and onboard all Urgent Care based staff with the help of Clinic Managers/Supervisors and is central to the opening of new clinics from site identification to operational readiness of newly onboarded teams. The role will also maintain relationships with all clinic landlords and help to create strategies for the spread and adoption of best practices/innovation as well as the integration of functional support services and quality initiatives with regional operations in all retail settings.

The Regional Director of Operations, will also partner with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing to develop innovation in the overall scope of services offered across all clinics in all operating locations. In addition, this person works in close partnership with colleagues on the Ambulatory Care Network leadership team in strengthening the working relationships between Providence senior leadership, PSJH regional and system leadership, ACO and Health Plan colleagues, payer contracting, consistent with the strategies and mission of PSJH.

The position recommends and directs the resources needed for retail strategies and provides advice and consultation on integration opportunities.

The Regional Director of Operations will:

  • Have full accountability for the performance of our business defined across the realms of experience, quality and operational excellence as well as financial outcomes.

  • Guide operations across the urgent care e suite of services and works with both the urgent care and local partner organization leadership teams to establish and successfully operationalize shared priorities.

  • Have accountability to hire and onboard staff for urgent care with assistance from local managers and supervisors.

  • Be central to the opening of new clinics from site identification to operational readiness of newly onboarded teams.The role will maintain and manage relationships with all clinic landlords

  • Help create strategies for the spread and adoption of best practices/innovation as well as the integration of functional support services and quality initiatives with regional operations in all urgent care settings.

  • Partner with the Medical Director and Director of nursing to develop innovation in the overall scope of services offered across all clinics in all operating locations.

  • Work in close partnership with colleagues on the Ambulatory Care Network leadership team in strengthening the working relationships between Providence senior leadership, PSJH regional and system leadership, ACO and Health Plan colleagues, payer contracting, consistent with the strategies and mission of PSJH.

  • Identify and promote retail program partnership opportunities internally and externally.

  • Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence and St Joseph mission and philosophy.

  • Create and monitor accountability across regions, medical groups and program service lines for quality, finance and governance.

  • Partner in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans and programs designed to meet retail goals and objectives including outreach across ministries.

  • Ensure the attainment of corporate objectives through the management of personnel.This includes, but is not limited to, providing a safe and challenging work environment for employees; reviewing employees' salaries, benefit programs and personnel policies; and selecting, developing, motivating and evaluating personnel.

  • Participate on various committees of including the Operations, quality, and Experience Councils.Also participate as key leader of overall leadership and governance structure.

  • Strive to maintain the image of PSJH as a vital healthcare resource in the communities we serve.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, or equivalent education/experience is required.

  • MHA, MBA, or MPH is preferred.

  • 7 years of progressive leadership experience working with providers and other clinical teams and leaders, finance, and other operational leadership is required along with experience working with executives.

  • More than 10 years of healthcare clinical activities or related retail leadership experience is required.

  • 2 years of significant experience working with ambulatory clinical specialties and medical group leadership.

  • 2 years of experience as a leader with responsibility for strategy, operations, team building and leadership development within an integrated delivery system or medical group.
