Providence Health & Services Senior Project Manager in Seattle, Washington


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Project Manager to our location in Seattle, WA.

Providence St. Joseph Health is on a journey to create health for a better world. Creating a connected, optimized Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) network across PSJH is an important part of this transformation and will support our ability to elevate UC internally among our colleagues and externally among consumers and patients. For this very important business line, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and support the development, execution, and evaluation of the urgent care business line including existing clinics and the growth of new ones.The Project Manager will lead projects of low and moderate complexity and support higher complexity projects simultaneously, including project planning, design, implementation, analysis, and reporting. The Project Manager will support Ambulatory Care Network programs and strategic projects as assigned, ensuring high quality deliverables are completed in a timely manner and within outlined budget constraints. The Project Manager must establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels at Providence St. Joseph Health, vendors, funders, academic researchers, and other external partners.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., funders and PSJH system, regional, and clinical leadership), proactively engaging with them on current and potential work and anticipating obstacles before they occur.

  • Function as interface/liaison across programs, project teams, governance groups, and other organizational structures to facilitate coordinated strategies and projects. Identify and engage broader team support from other Clinical Services and Ambulatory Care Network pillars (i.e. Express Care, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Imaging, One Medical, and others)

  • Develop project plans and consistently follow up with project stakeholders on tasks and deliverables, respond to requests in a timely manner, and balance competing priorities. Meet quality standards and the production of expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle (e.g., initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing).

  • Coordinate activities of the project team, including supervising, directing, and evaluating project staff as needed. Identify appropriate resources needed and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Communicate with senior management regarding status of projects.

  • Manage and update program portfolio tracking tools as projects progress throughout project lifecycle to facilitate internal reporting. Develop and maintain program and project documentation and collaboration platforms.

  • Manage the implementation of interventions and initiatives with various service regions. Oversee or conduct interviews and facilitate workshops/webinars with stakeholders to analyze processes/workflows and identify operational or system optimizations. Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.

  • Prepare communication plans and related project status reports. Facilitate regular status meetings with project teams, sponsors and key stakeholders to review activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Lead or contribute to the drafting of funding proposals, reports, memos, abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public health, psychology, economics, healthcare administration, or related health or social science field

  • 3 years experience in a clinical, academic, or healthcare setting

  • 3 years experience in progressively responsibile roles managing projects and programs across a variety of teams and stakeholders

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Public health, psychology, economics, healthcare administration, or related health or social science field

  • PMP Certification
