Providence Health & Services Software Engineer I, Back End in Seattle, Washington
The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence St. Joseph Health is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are seeking a Software Engineer I, Back End in Seattle, WA to have the knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of software engineering, and can resolve routine issues. You have tremendous potential for growth and are expected to realize this potential by steadily increasing your skills, knowledge and contribution. You meet defined commitments and deadlines. You effectively communicate status and risks to your team and manager.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
You will work on DIG’s video conferencing software platform.
Build SDKs for Android and iOS mobile apps that use DIG’s video conferencing system.
Build JAVA services.
Build automated test harness and integration tests.
Test the software platform and fix bugs in the system.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering.
0-2 years of relevant experience shipping enterprise software utilizing SOA.
Basic design, implementation, and testing skills.
0-2 years of combined system architecture experience across multiple OSes, languages and frameworks or typical experience.
Ability to design and develop using one of the following objected oriented languages: C , C# and Java
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics and Engineering.
