Providence Supportive Housing is calling a Development Director to Providence Health & Services in Seattle, WA.
Providence Supportive Housing is seeking a Development Director to be responsible for directing supportive housing development throughout communities served by Providence Health & Services thereby ensuring the growth and continuation of our mission and core values along with owner value and achievement of financial objectives for the supportive housing portfolio.
In this position you will:
Coordinate the pre-development, development and construction activity of affordable supportive housing projects, including mixed use housing and services projects in PH&S communities.
Assess site and financial feasibility, as well as coordinate and review due diligence for development opportunities, as appropriate.
Prepare or procure recapitalization and rehabilitation plans for PH&S housing assets, based upon physical condition, life cycle needs and owner objectives.
Research national and regional initiatives that integrate affordable housing and health care services.
Identify opportunities within Providence Health & Services and beyond to prioritize health care outcomes within housing development and the existing portfolio of properties.
Support regional and market area efforts to promote the development and construction of supportive housing.
Prepare and maintain predevelopment budgets, development budgets, operating budgets, cash flow projections and project timelines for potential developments, and review such documents prepared by third party consultants.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Six (6) plus years of supportive housing development experience including: strong record of success utilizing public and private affordable housing funding resources and subsidy programs, including but not limited to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, tax exempt bonds, HUD 202 and 811 programs, HOME, CDBG, Federal Home Loan Bank, and Section 8 as well as state and local funding sources.
Project management experience, including successful leadership and management of multidisciplinary development teams.
Experience working with nonprofit housing and social service agencies, including healthcare organizations.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of affordable housing policies, programs and regulatory requirements.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s degree in business or related field.
