Providence Health & Services Transportation Coordinator - Recreational Therapy in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Transportation Specialist (Recreational Therapy, Day Shift, Per Diem) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Support program activities, individual clients, patients and resident by driving a variety of vehicles, coordinating ride requests, and master scheduling.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, driver screening and training, and maintenance of vehicle safety equipment.
Monitor facility parking areas and performs other duties as assigned.
Assist in developing, writing and implementing policy and procedures that guide transportation services.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED
1 year of experience driving commercial vehicles and/or transporting disabled/elderly passengers
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs, bend, crouch and stoop
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
A valid Washington State Driver’s license with an excellent driving record
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with residents, clients, patients, families, volunteers and other employees with regards to performing the daily functions of driving, travel, pick-up, and maintenance work
Ability to use computer & other electronic tools for booking appointments and mapping routes
Health care/geriatric work experience
Working knowledge of hand tools and some minor automotive maintenance skills
