Providence Health & Services Access Services Technician - Access Srvs Shared Home Health in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling an Access Services Technician (Access Srvs Shared Home Health, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence SCS Home Health in Tukwila, Washington. In this position you will:
Verify client eligibility for Medicare or Medicaid benefits. Document payor information and patient demographic information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) timely and accurately.
Complete financial disclosure of patient benefits.
Document all communication in a clear, concise and timely manner.
Follow the authorization process per standard operating procedure.
Create client episodes in the EMR and input client information per standard operating procedure.
Assist with coordination of referrals with clinicians, supervisors and other staff
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training in previous electronic medical records -OR- equivalent educ/experience.
6 months of general office experience, preferably in a health care environment.
6 months of experience with electronic medical records.
