Providence Health & Services Director of Foundation - Divisional Services in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Director of Foundation (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Home and Community Care Divisional Services in Tukwila, WA. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible to all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The Director of Foundation is responsible for analysis, planning, organizing, directing, executing, supporting, controlling and evaluating specific fund raising programs, special events, and selected public relations programs for Providence Home and Community Care (PHCC). This position works closely with the foundation boards, operations administrators, and development directors of PHCC and local community agencies developing ties to the corporate community and Providence St. Joseph Health System.
In this position you will:
Achieve annual fundraising goals through special events as outlined yearly including Providence O’Christmas Trees, Providence Golf Classic, Providence Marianwood Spring Luncheon, and Treat Yourself 5K.
Provide fiscal control that demonstrates PHCC Special Events fiduciary responsibility and reflects how resources are used.
Ensure all special event fundraising that is organized or managed by PHCC Special Events does not exceed the national standard for special event fundraising of 50%.
Cultivate for in-kind donations and contracts with special events vendors, i.e. venue, auction group, production group, printer, graphic design, and ensures economy of scale and return on investment.
Conduct Executive Leadership Team and Advisory Board prospect research to ensure linkage, ability, diversity and interest in PHCC fundraising efforts.
Cultivate Executive Leadership Team Members and Advisory Board Members, ensuring that members are effective spokespersons for Providence Home and Community Care and all PHCC Special Events fundraising, including O’Christmas Trees and the Providence Golf Classic and all other events organized or managed by PHCC Special Events.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, marketing, public relations, journalism, health care administration or related field; or equivalent education/experience.
3 years as a development professional with a proven success in all aspects of fundraising and public relations.
In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of fundraising practices and procedures in the not-for-profit organization.
Proven ability to successfully interact with a broad spectrum of people, and to prioritize work in activities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in health care field with knowledge of long-term care
experience in the field of philanthropy
