Providence is calling a Hospice Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Day Shift, 1 FTE) to Providence Hospice of Seattle.

You’ll provide whole-person centered end-of-life care, working autonomously, yet with the support of an experienced interdisciplinary team.
This position is slated to cover West Seattle and Burien, as well as surrounding territories within King County as needed.
In this position you will:
Provide direct patient / basic nursing care and simple housekeeping tasks under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed professional.
Assist with prescribed exercises which patient and aide have been taught by the Physical, Speech, or Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse; demonstrate good working knowledge of principles of range of motion exercises, body alignment and positioning techniques.
Observe and report to immediate supervisor any changes in participant's physical or mental status; record such observations on appropriate records.
Independently manage own caseload, plan and schedule home visits and coordinates with other team members as needed to maximize effectiveness of overall care plan.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training
Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) in the state of Washington
Current Healthcare Provider CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
Current Food Handlers Permit
Current Washington State Driver’s license and automobile insurance
1 year previous home health/hospice experience required as a nurse's aide, hospice aide, orderly, or related experience in an acute, rehab, or long term care facility, or hospice organization
