Major Gift Officer

The Major Gift Officer is responsible for raising money from individual doners for Hospice of Seattle by managing a balanced portfolio of donors with the ability to solicit gifts in excess of $10,000 and above. This individual will work closely with other Foundation staff, the agency executive director, key board volunteers, grateful famillies, and key community stake-holders as referral sources and cultivation/solicitation partners.

This will be a hybrid-remote schedule based out of Tukwila, WA.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • 3 years development with successful results soliciting individual major gifts, preferably for a not-for-profit organization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • 1 year development experience in the healthcare field.

Providence Hospice of Seattle is a not-for-profit, community-based hospice ministry serving patients in their places of residence throughout King, and Pierce Counties in Washington state. Our skilled and compassionate team includes nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, chaplains, occupational/physical therapists, medical directors, grief support counselors and volunteers. We provide quality, timely, and comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care to patients at the end of life and their families.
