Providence Health & Services Patient Scheduler - Home Infusion in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Patient Scheduler (Home Infusion, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion & Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide an accurate daily schedule of nursing visits for the nursing department, and modify as needed.
Communicate with nurses, pharmacists, and patient services representative (PSR) team regarding schedule changes, patient status, and other pertinent information.
Schedule patient's weekly visits.
Maintain accurate master schedule.
Document communication in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Distribute nursing communications and mail on a weekly basis.
Patiently and effectively provide feedback and information to patients and their families.
Process forms and data.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
One (1) year of clerical experience in a customer facing role
Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Competent computer and keyboarding skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Medical clerical background involving patient interaction
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with scheduling patient appointments
Knowledge of Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce, and Thurston county territories for nursing visit coordination purposes
Experience using a multi-line phone system
