Providence is calling for pharmacy technician - a quality and compliance specialist (1.0 FTE, day shift) to work in the Providence Infusion and Pharmacy services at Tukwila, WA.

At the direction of Director of Quality and Process Improvement, coordinates the presentation of our Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan outcomes and assists in Ministry performance improvement/quality activities and medication safety efforts. At the direction of Directors of Pharmacy Operations and Director of Quality and Process Improvement, completes audits on an ongoing basis to verify correctness, completeness, and conformance to standards and regulatory requirements.

In this position you will:

  • At the direction of Director of Quality and Process Improvement, coordinates the presentation of our Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan outcomes.

  • Ensures documentation of compliance with policies and procedures is maintained at the appropriate department and site levels.

  • Provides technical assistance to members of the Leadership Team in terms of regulatory compliance, quality monitoring and documentation.

  • At the direction of Director of Quality and Process Improvement, assists in Ministry performance improvement/quality activities and medication safety efforts.

  • Assists in preparations for on-site surveys by regulatory agencies, as directed.

  • Assists in ensuring all contract files are complete and up-to-date and adhere to ministry policy.

  • Utilizes available tools for quality and compliance monitoring such as Quantros, employee infection control and patient infection log; monitors ongoing collection of relevant data in both participant care and administrative functions. Uses systems necessary to assess, report, and trend this data. Evaluates and analyzes Safety Events and patient feedback. Prepares reports summarizing the data.

  • Coordinates implementation of participant, caregiver and staff satisfaction surveys. Evaluates and analyzes results of patient satisfaction surveys.

  • At the direction of Directors of Pharmacy Operations and Director of Quality and Process Improvement, completes audits on an ongoing basis to verify correctness, completeness, and conformance to standards and regulatory requirement.

  • Maintains minutes of Quality Committee and Continuous Quality Improvement cross-functional teams.

  • Assists with completion of data collection reports as assigned under Director of Quality and Process Improvement for review.

  • Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as facility/agency specific policies and procedures.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all client demographics, medical and financial information at all times. Maintains confidentiality of all company and patient information. Ensures proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and regulations.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health-related field or equivalent educ/experience

  • Current certification and license by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Level A Pharmacy Technician.

  • Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required, but may obtain within 6 months of hire.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Quality Improvement experience in healthcare/social service agency setting

  • Change Acceleration Process Experience. Can be obtained within 1 year of hire.

  • Experience with EMR.

  • Experience with report writing software.
