Providence Pharmacy Technician - Patient Registration in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to the Patient Registration Department at Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington.
This position is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist and Nurse in providing pharmaceutical and supply services to home infusion patients.
In this position you will: .
Supports and incorporates the Mission Statement into daily activities.
Perform data entry using electronical medical record from various hospitals while maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary information
Prepare prescription labeling, compound sheets printing and occasionally pull medication for sterile compounding.
Fill prescriptions by calculating drug volumes and therapy days under direct supervision of pharmacist.
Maintaining patient profiles and medication lists by documenting services provided.
Generates delivery tickets by reviewing supplies needed for each prescription provided to patients.
Coordinates delivery with patient, warehouse, and delivery service under direct supervision of pharmacist, nurse or dietitian.
Communicate effectively and appropriately with pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, dietitians, billing, and external customers to facilitate accurate, safe care for the patient.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of approved pharmacy technician training program
Current certification and license by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Current National Pharmacy Technician certification, or within 6 months upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Customer service experience
Skilled with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
