Providence Health & Services Supervisor - Health Information Management in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Health Information Management Supervisor (HIM, Day S hift, 1.0 FTE) to support Home Health in Tukwila, WA. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for the coordination of work distribution and daily operations, ensuring staff efforts are aligned with department goals and targets, and monitoring team-specific work volume, making staffing changes as necessary to meet targets.
Ensure daily document productivity to meet Days to RAP target and document chart filing. Supervise other HIM personnel and assistants to ensure same.
Provide hands-on support for daily activities, workflows and job aids to optimize customer service and drive financial performance, providing coaching and mentoring as needed; assist with development of procedures and training materials.
Coordinate training and education of staff as assigned; provide one on one training as necessary; observe staff to maintain a high level of knowledge.
Escalate and encourage staff to escalate issues and suggestions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
2 years recent experience in Health Information Management
Knowledge of Home Health regulations
intermediate skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience leading or supervising personnel
College level courses in medical terminology, health information
